Airline in first biofuel flight

The first biofuel powered commercial airline flight took place yesterday. The idea of using biofuel to reduce carbon emissions is an interesting one. Still, one must consider the impact that growing enough crops to replace petroleum will have on the environment. Is there enough land to cultivate for this increasing demand? I am not attempting to provide any answers here, but I do like to raise questions.
